BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: St. Joseph’s Youth Camp is a non-denominational camp designed to provide kids ages 7-17 with a fun and memorable summer. Campers participate in a number of traditional camp activities such as arts and crafts, horseback riding, ropes courses, archery, kayaking, and more.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Horseback Riding, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, Soccer, Swimming, Fine Arts/Crafts, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Volleyball, Science, and more. High Ropes/Ziplinining, Kayaking, Campfires & S'mores, Astronomy, & Arts & Crafts.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located 23 miles Southeast of Flagstaff, AZ, on Mormon Lake. Outfitted with cabins, our camp has sits on 19 beautiful acres amidst the Coconino National Forest.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have 12 cabins, bathhouse, recreation/dining hall, nurse's and director's cabins, outdoor volleyball court, and rustic amphitheater.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is a one-week (7 days, 6 nights) experience for teens ages 15 to 17. This long-running program allows counselors to participate in personal development activities and discussions to give them skills in communication, leadership, greater good, positivity, and inclusion. With these skills, they will be ready to be leaders at camp and in their day-to-day lives. If selected, counselors will be asked to return for the camper weeks to put their skills into action (and earn community service hours).
